MJ was a huge talent, althought I do agree with hilly I would not place MJ above Elvis.
The allegatons against MJ tarnished his image and personn even though he was aquitted.

It is really sad news but at least the papers and media will have something massive to focus on rather than the economic crisis and global terrorism for a bit.

I also concur, apart from the music bit as I did not really like his music very much or at all.

Its a great loss to pop music.
I don't know how to feel about it, I'm not especially a fan of his music, but I grew up with his 80's stuff and my dad still plays Jackson 5.
On the other hand though he was a walking freak show that apparently done undesirable things with/to children.
Who knows?

Why do people deserve respect for dying, it isn't a particularly difficult thing to do... he was a talented musician who probably molested kids.
I didn't respect him much when he was alive, I sure as hell don't respect him any more now.
Reason enough I guess
