7300LE - 256mb - What can it play?

I am buying a computer on a very tight budget and a friend had one of these cards in his draw so thought it might be ok.

Anyone have a clue what it could play as I cant test it until tomorrow when I get some new ram.

Would it play left4dead?
 
Its a 6200 with half the memory bandwidth and a higher core clock :( You would be better off with an integrated graphics motherboard such as a HD 3200.

Its free, so i cant complain. Its only in there until I can buy a cheap one off mm. But just wondering if it will play anything?

The onboad on the Motherboard is something like a 3100 or something.

Would onboard HD4500 run anything?

On that note I have a 6200 LE, and it can't play anything really, though it's currently sitting in my Diablo 2 box, which it breezes through :p

dont even think dream about it :) ,

im sure it could handle css with no aa no af low/medium details and small resolution depends on the rest of the pc.

I used to play css with Geforce MX 440, Amd XP 2800+(2.3ghz) and 1 gig of ddr ram.

the one i had, would play some later games but would overheat, then crash,
stick to pong, or at a push asteroids:D
 
Well it exceeds the minimum specs just. It'll be a low res and low quality jobby though. Surely look in the MM even something like a X1650, 7800GT will trounce the 7300. Those should only be £15-20 in the MM if that considering recent prices.
 
Oh in that case it''l be fine, but not look very good. I thought it might some old ancient CPU in which case, you may have been in trouble.

No its just a small project im working on slowly getting a LAN computer together.

Believe it or not but this started out with buying Rockband 2 for the xbox (when i dont have an xbox ) and then trying to build a cheap computer out of the money i sold it for.
 
There are far worse cards on the market, so although it won't run the latest games, it'll be okay for ones a couple of years old.

Depends what you're into. FPS wise you'll be fine for Quake 3, Half-Life 2 / CS etc or smaller games like Soldat are great fun on LAN. Don't forget the older strategy games like C&C series and TA as pointed out above.
