Yay for air con... boo for fuel economy! \o/

In my mondeo it's not that cold, doesn't feel any cooler than the outside so I tend not to bother. Nice to have for the few times a year when it's hot, otherwise having the window down suffices :)

Actually, peasants have NO aircon, poor people have ONLY aircon, unfortunate people have MANUAL climate control (still has aircon though), and normal people have Automatic Climate Control.

Climate control still has aircon that you can turn on and off however, so stating that you leave you climate control ON, doesn't necessarily mean you have A/C on ;)

Really? You'd think a little AC compressor would make sod all difference to a bloody great diesel engine like that!



Regarding climate control, I don't find I need it myself, I've had it in hire cars and I must be so used to just turning on the AC and/or operating the temperature dial that I get confused knowing what temperature to set it to :( I fail

Couldn't live with just A/C. Having it either blow at full cold, or full hot (or trying to guess at something inbetween) is just horrid, not to mention then having to manually adjust the fanspeeds when things get too cold/hot/blustery.

Having the car at a nice consistant temperature without having to do a thing = bliss.

Although I do wish I had dual-zone, as the GF always complains that its too cold :mad:
 
If it's hot enough for me to want AC I'll just set the blowers to cold and point them up towards the cabin and it gets nice and cool.

No doubt this will change when I buy a car with digital climate control and I'll become all OCD over the temperature it's set at ;)
 
my compressor is broken! :(
and my driver's window is broken, one of the rods has failed. it's never 25C in norway. apart from when i have a black car with windows that can't open and no AC.
at least i have a sunroof..

It copes quite well! My sister's 1.25 has it, doesnt make you feel anymore comfortable, your still in a fiesta! (j/k..1/2 true!)

Auto Climate wins i guess! Unless you stick it on LO, then the fans are far to loud constantly :( I guess thats what you get for having cheap ford gadgets!
