We are now offering customers the option of purchasing Windows Vista OEM with a Windows 7 upgrade voucher. The programme runs from June 26th 2009 to January 31st 2010 and will be delivered from October 22nd 2009 onwards. More information can be found at the Microsoft Upgrade Option website and full instructions on how to order will be included.

Will Windows & be an upgarde or full install - sorry your link to MS is not working and could not find it on their website without navigating over a dozen pages.

I believe due to issues with EU compliancy, all versions provided to the EU will be full install. And you will have to do a clean install of the OS.

not heard any mention of x32 and x64 is windows 7 completely x64 now with no option. Its the main thing putting me off getting win 7 when it comes out tbh.

They should have made Windows 7 64bit only imo, but thats a discussion for another day :D

Object moved to here. but "here doesn't work either"

If it's the same as XP to vista upgrade then I'll not bother as it cost me £15 to get a international cheque

Why would x64 put you off Windows 7? I have been running Vista Ultimate 64 bit with no issues.

Its not that x64 puts my off windows 7 its that i'd wind up unkonwingly stuck with the x86 version as there seemed to be no x86 and x64 version of windows 7 just 1 version

Doesn't the voucher entitle you to the full retail version because there is no upgrade version.

As far as i have read we wil only get the full (e) version in the uk with them looking into the option of giving internet explorer wither on a seperate disk or a usb pen. Between the end of July and beginning of august if you pre order you will get home premium for £49.99 and after this it is going to be around £79.99 for home premium untill january when it jumps to £149.99
