Dog problems

you shouldn't give a dog chicken bones as they splinter

Raw chicken bones are fine as the birds are flightless and as such don't have the same hollow bones as say duck, but you should make sure your dogs chews the bones well before eating them.

My two dogs normally get chicken portions in the morning and something like tripe/mine/lamb breast/heart/kiver/lamb neck/ nearly out of date food etc.

Definitely move to better food. We're on Wainwright's, Royal Canin, James Wellbeloved, Burns, etc. are all worthwhile checking out.

Did you change the food over in one go? You should be mixing the new food in with the old food over a two week period, to help prevent the dog getting the 10 bob bits.

Never heard of Wagmans, we use eukanuba and haven't had any problems with it.

James Wellbeloved is what our vet recommends. Seems very good for the dog, before we went 100% raw we used it as filler and he seemed to love it. Very good quality food.

If you are not going to breed or show, get her spayed.

Otherwise, keep up the training (whatever the food).

Good luck.

.......an infection (upto 3 weeks after the season) as this can kill her (cant remember what its called but its quite serious).

Ay, our old girl suffered from mastitis really badly when she was young. It is essential to get her spayed if she is not going to have puppies otherwise she can get all sorts of 'womens' problems' which are serious
