Coolit Systems Domino A.L.C Watercooling System

want to run it on my 4ghz 920cpu.... anyone installed it on a 920 at that overclock if so what temperatures your getting at load (prime95, Intel burn test etc)???

Not really worth the cash. It's not terrible, but you'd be better off going for a high-end air cooler or a proper watercooling system.

hmm its got good reviews on it though.... what kinda cost am i looking at for a proper watercooling setup i just want a single loop to my cpu... and gonna run at 4ghz per core.

Why use a cheap water setup when decent air cooling can get you to 4GHz with relative silence also? In this case it's just extra expense for little reason.

For a decent watercooling loop, like what I'm using on my CPU, you're looking at about £150.

Basically, either go high-end air cooling (£40 to £50) or be prepared to spend £150 to £200 on a decent water setup.

There's little point in going for a cheap watercooling setup, in my experience and opinion.

I've just put in the Apex Ultima Plus kit from Swiftec....it is the dogs nob...
Had a block oc'ing on air at 379fsb....now can get over 400 stable...whoop!

also can now get another 50mhz on GPU core than with standard cooler.

Domino is a pile of carp....manufs cashing in on a trend!

That's okay then. Buy what they tell you to, you'll probably be better off. While you're at it, pick up the latest Sugababes CD and a pack of cigarettes, they probably don't have any cancer in them at all.

Avoid at all cost, you'd be far better of with a decent air cooling setup, something like a thermalright ultra and a pair of decent fans will beat that domino gimmick hands down. Best way for water cooling is to go custom.

That's almost definitely not worth it. Decent air coolers have got to the point where they outperform low-cost watercooling with much less hassle. There's not much point in water unless you do it properly.

Blah, blah,blah.......Air/water debate goes on....luddites would say no point to water 'cos they haven't tried it...I have and it OCs better that any air setup could and very quiet too.

Here is my rig...had loads of fun doing it and has got me interested in OCing again...can get my Core 2 duo to go another 40mhz FSB...whoop!

Thats a lot of tubing your using there.
How much did it all cost you though ?
No1s saying that water cooling is worse than air, its just you have to do it properly.

I looked into that coolit domino kit and took similair advice thats being offered here and got an expensive air cooler instead.

That said, does it perform better than air at high ambient temps?

I wouldnt mind trying a wc setup, its the chance of something going wrong that puts me off a bit, if i do attempt it ill be looking into a custom cpu loop, or possibly one of the swiftech kits, ive used a thermalright ultra air cooler with push/pull fans for my last 2 cpu's, q9550 @3.6ghz and a q6600 @3.8ghz, high load temps have never been an issue.
