Rest In Peace Michael Jackson (No Disrespect Posts)

Been washing my car out today and loads of people playing Jackson tracks as they drive by loudly - normally it's tacky dance music or some shhhhh... but this I approve of :D

I've even ripped a number of my favs to the car.

Please don't put me in the royal 'us' because his solo music registered zero percent on my scale

Dave sorry if this seems harsh, but i tell you right now at some point in your life if not directly, but possibly indirectly michael jackson has effected your musical career. whether it be style of music etc etc, productions, recordings

So it seems. :p

I have a fond memory of listening to MJ while playing GTA: Vice City, good stuff. Great game and the music really made it that bit better.

I said this to a mate the other day when it came on the radio, just sparked a memory of driving around Vice City at night listening to MJ, for some reason that's a fond memory for me too.

some of the lyrics to his 1997 song 'Morphine' below. Kinda shocking if he did indeed die of Morphine.

He got flat baby
Kick in the back baby
A heart attack baby
I need your body

Relax
This won't hurt you
Before I put it in
Close your eyes and count to ten
Don't cry
I won't convert you
There's no need to dismay
Close your eyes and drift away

Demerol
Demerol
Oh God he's taking demerol
Demerol
Demerol
Oh God he's taking demerol

He's tried
Hard to convince her
To be over what he had
Today he wants it twice as bad
Don't cry
I won't resent you
Yesterday you had his trust
Today he's taking twice as much

Liked his music, didnt respect the guy, but he has given so many artists so much inspiration that you have to give him some credit :)

My turn.

TBH I wasn't overly struck on the bloke personally, but I have to take my hat off to him in the simple fact that his music made a lot of people happy & will do so for years to come.

I saw him at Wembley during his Dangerous tour way back in 1992 (In fact I had to go there twice as he was too ill to perform 1st time round, that sent my little sister into floods of tears) Very good gig & he was an absolute master at entertaining people.

My mum & myself always said he wouldn't live to be an old man, I think the pressure of fame got to him in the end. IMO the world won't be quite the same without him which is a pity.

A girl at work was absolutely distraught yesterday, she'd spent over £700 on top class accommodation, a slap up meal & front row seats at the gig. She was sent home in the end. Feel sorry for her in that respect.

Anyone read the Times today? There was a pretty scathing attacking article in there today & I suspect the reporter will have to emigrate to somewhere safe......

.....like the Moon. :o

Not sure if it's been posted but check this -

The reactions of the crowd are hilarious. About 50 people faint and get carried away on stretchers. :D

Oh, and Stephen Hawkins crowd surfs?
