What are you talking about?! They do have to abide by our laws, unless there's some law I'm unaware of that sates all banks must charge interest and that they have to call it interest as opposed to calling it rent etc.

What are you after, new laws that go through every business forbidding them from offering the products/services they want to offer? What a wonderful free society that would be!

That's just right mate I am being racist for asking why do we need Muslim bank accounts we live in the uk not Iran , iraq, ect and you wonder why the BNP get more votes?

How does it affect you in ANY way? So a bank has an islamic account. You don't have to take it out. So someone builds an islamic school. You don't have to send your children to it. A shop offers halal food? You don't have to eat it. Islamic places of worship (synagogues? Can't remember)? You don't have to go to them. Unless these places are completely replacing what you already had (instead of being new places), then I don't see the problem.

Yeah, if all the schools in the area became islamic, and all the bank accounts became islamic, I can see the problem, but you don't HAVE to partake in any muslim activities if you don't want to.
 
Llloyds jump at the chance of having to not give interest on money, and people call it pandering to muslims. An absolutely brilliant opportunity to make profits.

Some people really have no clue.

Because you see in the uk we have a system called capitalism.

This means if a business see an opportunity to make a product or service that they think will make them money or gain more customers they do it.

There already are Christians living in Pakistan, with churches and schools, and before Pakistan existed. There are/have been Christian players in the Pakistan cricket team.

There are Christians in Dubai, there are special sections of non halal meat available in the supermakets there.

As for Iraq, I think the least of their worries would be Christian schools, etc.

Obviously not. UK banks do not offer interest free loans.



ALSO everyone note that until the early 1970s and banking deregulation, 90%+ of current accounts did not bear interest. So basically they were all "islamic" accounts.

So whats a "british" account?
