Im having to send my N97 back on T-mobile for a refund as I cannot get t-mobile in my area. The only other decent deal I can find is from DialAPhone

18 month contract
£40.00 a month + 1 months free insurance (£6.99 thereafter)
600 Minutes
Unlimited Text
Unlimited Web
Handset price = Free

I only wanted to pay £40 max for line rental and insurance.

Has anybody spotted a better deal with line rental & insurance which will get me down to £40 a month max??

Must be Vodafone, would concider orange if it has unlimited web.

Not quite, but this is will save you a few pounds and get you more minutes.

T-Mobile Combi 35 + Web & Walk
18 Months
£39.15/month + 3 months free insurance (£5.99 thereafter)
800 Minutes
Unlimited Texts
Unlimited Web
Handset price = Free

Should be an unlocked and unbranded handset too as Mobile Phones Direct operate the Nokia stores in the UK.

EDIT: just seen that you can't do T-mobile. Oh well...

Just had a look at the voda deals there. You can do

Vodafone Your Plan 30 + Web
24 Months
£34.26/month + 3 months free insurance (£5.99 thereafter)
600 minutes
Unlimited Texts
Unlimited Web (n.b. 500mb on Voda)
Handset price = Free

And again, hopefully unlocked and unbranded. Works out to £39.50 per month. 24 months is obviously not ideal, but you'd have to pay £46 for the handset on the equivalent 18 month deal.

Sod it, im just going to bite the bullet and pay £40 + £5.99 insurance (with the 1st month free insurance I think). DialAPhone did have the £60 cashback offer but they took it off this morning.

:(

Hmm, not bad but I would rather stick with 18 months.

If i go for the £40 + £5.99 insurance deal with voda with a free phone, do you know if I will be likely able to downgrade my tarrif say 9 months into the contract like I was able to do with O2 last year?

I've just gone direct with vodafone as I need lots of mins.

Free phone £45 per month (18 months) 1200 mins, unlimited text, unlimited web (well 500mb), unlimited landline calls and £90 back from quidco.

Works out at £40 per month as long as quidco tracks.
