Buying Tax

As above.
Unless you have (or have access to) a traders policy, then as long as someone is insured for that vehicle and you have their insurance docs you'll be able to tax it.

Ah ok cheers

Im selling a car you see and i've had it recently MOT'd and just want to get 6 months tax on it, but i guess the buyer will just have to go TAX it on the day of sale

You'll find it easier to sell a car with tax on, a dayinsure/etc certificate is good enough to get tax, I'd do that if I wanted a quick/easy sale.

i thought it said in pretty big letters can not be used for tax. only used dayinsure twice so i could be mistaken.

The tax runs out on it tomorrow. shall i get it SORN tomorrow or is there still a 5 day leanent pass that allows you to get it within a week ?

Unles I'm mistaken there has never ever been a period of grace relating to road tax. I once received a fine at ten minutes past midnight, ie ten minutes after the damn disc had ran out.
