Surely to God this man can't be so desperate for more money as to make these truly atrocious adverts? I'd have thought he would be happy with his (already considerable) stack. Not saying he shouldn't earn more, but he has lost all integrity in my eyes by doing these.

Perhaps he has some sort of affiliation with them. I don't know. All I know is I cringe for him every time I see them.

Am I alone?

Perhaps the effort to earnings makes it worth it. Perhaps he is doing it as a favour for a mate. Who cares.

A guy that's good at making money makes more money SHOCKER!

Stop being jealous and go out and get some for yourself

It does make me wonder, the use of celebs in advertising this type of product/service...does it really make people want to buy it any more than if we saw any tom, dick or harry on screen instead...? I wonder how much he was paid.

To expand - I agree you have to have a certain mindset to get to that position. I myself am a workaholic, but only on the proviso that I don't have a massive house and a nice car.

The day that I am not wanting for anything, with a few quid in my pocket, is the day I say "thanks a lot" and cash it all in and go and live the rest of my life enjoying what I've worked hard for.

The Peter Jones and Sir Allen Sugars of the world seem to be unable to stop once they amass a large amount of money.. and it's a shame in my eyes.

That's a pretty big assumption there, son. If you re-read my opening post, I did mention that he should earn more, but his attempts to make himself a legitimate TV-personality is cringe-worthy.

I apologise. It came across to me as if you were being jealous. For your second point I agree with you!

Nothing wrong with that. The country needs people like this who have the ability to make a lot of money. It benefits us all.

Why would you want to stop making money, and spend the rest of the day sat on your backside doing nothing?

If it made me money I would do it. I bet with him being in the advert it makes a lot more money than if it was some random actor who can't act.

I didn't say I would sit and do anything - surely life is too short to work all the time? It's more a necessity? Sure, you can get paid to do what you love, but who wants to the do same thing forever?

If you had more money than you know what to do with, would you continue to work? Me, personally, would use that money to enable me to follow my hobbies/travel/do new things

You have no idea how much/little Peter works. He has people running his businesses, and most likely he only supervises major decisions within the businesses, leaving him with free time to do this anyway.

Maybe he wanted to do the ad for fun ?

Yea maybe he did it for fun, it's his decision.. but as demonstrated on here, a few people think he's a bit of a numpty - his acting is rubbish, and the ad itself is pretty lame.

So? It's something to do with helping people spend money and it has one of the most recognizable millionaires in the country on the advert.

It's brilliant.
