Hi,

I've been a good boy and read through the forum rules but I'm still quite unclear as to whether I'd be breaching them if I started a particular thread.

Basically I want to have a new logo for my PC repairs business - been going a year now, quite successfully and wish to change the appearance of it to something more professional looking.

I don't have the time nor artistic talent to design something myself so I was wondering if I'd be able to host a competition on here and award the winner of the winning logo a cash prize or something. Anyway, rather than go ahead and do it I thought I'd ask first. Now I've typed this all out though, rather than think it in my head, I'm starting to think its a no no!

Anyway, yay, or nay?
 
No, as this would be in a round-a-bout way competitor talk and/or self-promoting of your company.

something i forgot to say in my OP is that I would mask my business name and change it so people wouldn't know - I have to do this anyway as I reach out to a select demographic in a select geographic.
