Grrrr.......clumsy Citylink

I was bored with the standard 18" alloys on my Boxster so I decided to buy a nice set of 19" Carrera Classics. The garage I bought them from boxed them up perfectly for me, the courier picked them up on Friday and delivered them today. Unfortunately as he was unloading them he dropped one, right on its face, chipping the paint off.

I can't believe they got all the way to my house and the clumsy delivery guy dropped them, grrrrr.........

I've contacted the courier company who said they'd sort it, should cost about £50 yeah? I've just emailed them back with the cost of how much these alloys were so hopefully they'll understand that I don't want a cheap touch up doing on them.

Anyway, pics of what they would look like when I've got them fitted.

(there's no real point to this post other than to let off steam :mad:

Probably cost a bit more than £50 for a refurb of a 19inch wheel to a good standard.

on a similar note, when i RMAd my dell monitor, the bloke dropped a HD from waist height onto the ground :eek:

thankfully it wasn't mine

regarding your wheels, i'd push for a replacement. if they're brand new, screw a refurb!

I think they make it as arduous as possible so you give up in the meantime, i'd be willing to bet City Link make a fair few boo boos.

DO NOT ACCEPT A REFURB!!!!

New wheel only mate, accepting a refurb (assuming they were brand new and to be honest even if they weren't) is madness as it will NOT be the same. They are insured and there is zero reason for you to accept second best because they cocked up.

If the delivery guy dropped it, I would have refused the delivery altogether.
