I was addicted to tennis on Wii sports and have yearned for a replacement since it no longer offers any challenge what so ever.

I have read some reviews on both of these two but there does not seem to be any conclusive evidence to support either one being better.

What are your opinions?

Well, they're very different. GST goes for full 1:1 mapping with the MotionPlus, whereas VT uses a different system. I can't decide between the two, GST is better when the MotionPlus works as it's supposed to (not very often!), and VT is better when you want a slightly more relaxed game. GST is tiring!

Not to related but Wii Sports 2 is due soon. Think it has table tennis this time round though.

There is still golf though!! Loved golf on the first one I reckon it will be awesome!

Hi,
Want to revive this thread because I'm trying to decide between the two. I just got started weighing the evidence. So far from what I can see, GST looks like it has some humor and fun to it and VT looks more serious.

I got the impression from posts in this thread that GST is actually a bit harder or more challenging and VT a little easier more relaxing.

What are peoples' impressions? Anyone have BOTH of them?

I suppose I'll probably have both of them eventually, but would prefer to get the "better one" from some perspective first.

Cheers

EDIT:

I noticed that there is a copy of GST being sold with a different cover from what I saw on Nintendo's site:

Are these just different versions of the cover or are they different versions of the game? The stated release dates seem to be only months apart.

EDIT#2:

Just noticed that THIS one looks to be the latest version... due for release in just days I think ... correction: that was just the store's stock date ... sorry

What I have found so far from the YouTube reviews and snippets is that GST is probably better for overall playability and it works very well with the motion plus. VT is very good if you are specifically very much into the network playing, but if not then the playability overall isn't as good as GST.

These games are inexpensive so you can just as well buy both, but still seems silly to buy two and then pretty much only use one of them while the other collects dust.

I'll probably get GST for the better playability overall.
