As title really, i don't want to know which retailer has said prices for obvious reasons, i just want to know what to aim for. Got a stack of Wii games that have got to go and a 360 seems like a nice thing to put them towards. Looks like £170 is the average from what i've seen.

[EDIT] Am after a 60Gb model, can you get Jaspers of premiums yet?

360 60Gb with burnout trivial pursuit and connect 4 with an extra controller £166, thats what i got mine for last week.

I purchased a 60GB Pro with the wireless entertainment pack (second wireless controller, Kung Fu Panda and LEGO Indiana Jones) for £170 from the high street. You should be able to find similar deals around.

Edit: Jasper consoles have been out for a while. I purchased mine a month ago (manufactured on 18th Jan).

Good question, bit silly of me to leave it out.

Want a 60gb model, is it possible to get the Jasper versions of those yet?

They are out there, just can be hard to find, or as a mate would say "rare as rocking horse ****".

It might have changed recently, but a couple of months back this was the case.

If your willing to buy online you can get that deal along with two selected games and a HDMI cable for the same price (Games include Gears 2, Fable 2 and UFC Undisputed amongst others).

Cheers for the help guys, i decided to be lazy and just go to a big highstreet store as i had shed loads i wanted to trade in too. Ended up getting £47 for my old Wii games, bought a 60gb (which is a Jasper!) for £180 with 800msp and CoD4, traded CoD4 back in straight away for a further £12 and got £7.50 worth of store credit for using a loyalty card when i bought the 360. So in total we have:

360 + CoD4 + 800msp = £180
- £12 for CoD4 = £168
- £47 for Wii games = £121
- £7.50 credit = £113.50

Also bought Kameo preowned for £7 so a grand total of:

£120.50 for a 60GB Jasper, 800msp and Kameo

Not bad imo. Could have got it for less if i wasn't so lazy, but i already have a second controller lying around that i use for my PC so i didn't want to go for the extra controller bundles.

Huzzah. Good job. So what's your gamertag so we can spam you with friend requests?

Also, just Kameo for now? Sounds much like my launch day back in 2005 :D

Iirc i created a gamertag a year ago on the PC to play gears of war with under the name Streeteh but i'll check that soon.

Just Kameo for now, but also going to borrow PGR4 and Lost Odyssey off of a mate, in fact he told me i could just have them (he's a good mate :p)

Think i got lucky; this is a much, much quieter 360 than any i've used previously, the disk drive is still loud as sin however

Kameo seems pretty good, it's graphics are beginning to show their age but tbh the game is years old now so that's to be expected and it's the gameplay that matters.

Had a quick blast on the castle crashers trial and it's great but costs quite a bit by the looks of it :/ How long is the game?

Don't forget you can install games to the HDD for silent running :)

this might seem a really stupid question but can you install any game to the hdd? ie one bought on a dvd?

it's bloody hot so maybe i'm hallucinating a don't even own an xbox.

who knows

Aye, remembered that shortly after making the above post so all is well.

Yep, you still need the disk in the drive to play it but it significantly reduces the noise produced by the console and in most cases reduces loading times.

Bit of a problem that's got me concerned, tried playing Lost Odyssey and it came up with a message saying 'please use this disk with an xbox 360'. Snuh? Is my DVD drive already on it's way out or is this normal? It's working now, got it installing, but very strange.
