Not gay SPD shoes

The ones that fit the best? If you are going to be spending hours in them I'd go to an LBS and find the ones which are the most comfortable.

What are you using them for? Triathlon, Road, MTB, TT, Cyclo-X?
 
What exactly are "gay" SPD shoes? Two left feet?

Anyway, we can't really recommend shoes for you. Get yourself to a shop and try some on, everyone has different requirements. Personally I like DHBs for their stiffness, or recently bought some of these on a friends recommendation, and have liked them thus far.

I take it that you mean general clip shoes? Or do you mean specifically SPD shoes?

I like my shimano SH-RT51 shoes, they are a touring shoe, so you can walk around in them, but they are more suitable for road use than other SPD (which is a mountain bike clip) shoes.

i was going to get the model down, but they were out of stock, so I got these cheaper.

You probably want MTB ones then. I, and a lot of others, use them for commuting because they are a lot easier to walk in than proper road shoes. Road shoes are usually solid plastic soles so even a little walking with scuff them badly and there is the risk of snapping them.

Cheers, they look pretty good! When my lidl specials fall apart I might get those :D At least I know I'm a size 43 now which I didn't know this morning. I wish they did half sizes though
