I'm sick of working in my hot office

Brrrr, i got so hot walking around the golf course this morning in what felt like 30 degree heat that i came back into work and stuck the air-con on 16c. Yay for work! Double Yay for air-con!

There is me and 2 others in the small room we work in, we are lucky to have aircon in this room and it's lovely with the weather as it is.

Problem is the 2 dudes I work with insist on having aircon on even in the winter so I have to wear a t shirt under my shirt and a jumper sometimes when it's really cold.

I wouldn't mind if I was doing physical work, but when im sitting using a PC i'm not generating any heat!

I work in a huge office with a massively high ceiling and a superb aircon system.

It's just another cross I have to bear.

:)

Are the other 2 dudes quite fat? Sounds like our place if so..

We, fortunately, moved into a brand new office block earlier this year and this office (so far) has working air-con. Personally I'd like it a ~3C lower than it is but we negotiations are ongoing :)

Last summer was hell as we were in a temporary office and the air-con kept on breaking down (or pumping hot air into our office during the summer). It was really bad when you came into the office at 7am to find it was already over 27C. It did help then working for a large company as we contacted one of the HR directors and he basically said if the office was >25C then we could work from home over VPN no matter what our local management wanted :)

A previous office I worked in didn't have any aircon but wasn't to bad as it was on the 9th floor overlooking the Thames in Reading. There we just used to open all the windows every morning to get a cross draught through the office.
