Hiya,

My ps3 broke last week, the laser died. My console is 16 months old, bought in Feb 2008. Phoned up playstation support and didnt have to wait in a que the three times I have phoned them.

Anyway, they agreed to send me a refurb ps3 in replacement of mine, even though its out of warranty.

Really impressed by there services, the fastest answering of the phone I have ever experienced. They phone you back exactly when they say will, a first in customer services for me.

I cannot praise them more.

Insert jesus pick if you like :p

EDIT: oh yeh it also helps if you keep your reciept like me, I doubt I would have got anywhere without one!

Guess I was just unlucky though as most people report good things from sony customer service

Thats a shame, the 4 sony people I spoke to where the best phone centre people I have ever had to deal with. of course there are bad eggs in all companies.

Did I get lucky then?
 
and there i am paying a fiver a month for continous play and people are still getting there out of warranty consoles replaced for free! :p

I would never pay that. Sooner take the gamble. Only got my ps3 (£200 new)2 weeks ago and in 13 months (£65 payments) it will probably be worth £100
