Refund on Ebay MJ tickets?

Ebay Man said:
We encourage all buyers to go to their sellers first to request refunds. We believe that issuing full refunds is the right thing for sellers to do. They received payment for a show that cannot now go ahead, and should simply return that payment to the buyer in full.

Naw. They received payment for tickets to a show. A show that they have no control over. All parties understood this.

It would be harsh to brush off the buyer, but don't let Ebay guilt trip you.

I love threads on forums like these that are honeytraps to show just how dishonest and how much you should trust certain members. Notebooks should be coming and and usernames should be written down.

I really don't understand why he should refund! It's not his fault MJ died, so why should he loose his profit? It's not like he's responsible?

I'd certainly not be giving any money back.

Dishonest? I wasn't aware he sold the tickets and guaranteed Jackson would be alive to perform.

Think before accusing.

I'd gladly deal with any of them, since they're of sound enough mind to evaluate the situation put forth by Ebay properly.

Because it's the decent thing to do

I'm sure you'd expect a refund if it was you in the buyers shoes

I think profiteering from something like this would be a little selfish and you don't strike me as that sort of guy, so sure you will do the right thing and refund. Its what I would do and its pleasing to see lots of places like the official ticket channels and eBay taking a very pro active approach to giving refunds (in full)...

If the full amount is available through ebay, then why bother?

You get to keep the profit and the buyer gets a full refund, win-win.

If ebay question it, then just plead poverty.

Might as well make use of the system in these exceptional circumstances, it'll make up for it when you get screwed over by them some time in the future.

Dont refund, u sold the tickets while they were good, the seller cant be held responcible for the death of the man and the cancelled gig. They lost there tickets and money but thats what happens sometimes.
