Pretty swish but have some heavy raves in that badboy. Few mates from when i went to college did a rave in a church, dj n all. Said it was off the walls :D

Idd @ the garden though :p

Very, I don't think I would be able to make it feel like 'home', rather than just living in a church.

That's why it works for me, I wouldn't want a normal house but something unusual and special. I've stayed in converted churches and castles and it beats a five star hotel any day.

Anyone remember that grand designs in Ireland where they did up a ruined church, the one that had the walkway in the end? That was a fantastic build, and not cold as they used a 1 acre heat exchange system with underfloor heating.

there are two HUGE disused churches in camden/chalkfarm that are right across the road from each other, and every time i see them i think "damn, that'd make an epic house!"

Whereabouts? I don't think I've ever noticed them.

Yeah I do, I thought it was this for a minute, but I think this conversion is better / cost more.

I used to live in a building formerly used as a house church. Was just a standard victorian terraced house. Would have never found out if it wasn't for one of my housemates randomly bumping into someone that used to meet there.

Awesome! But, I don't think I'd like to live there. It's a bit "unconverted" for my tastes, and I'm not a big fan of open plan.

One of the best sounding gigs I ever went to was in a Church. Bit embarrasing for me, as I help booked the performer (secular), who I'm aquainted with, thinking it was for a student hall of residence by the same name.

He had fun though (messing with acoustics). Fellow called Jon Gomm. Look him up on youtube. Incredible guitarist.
