Im thinking of buying season 1-8 but theres also extra episodes you can buy that dont come in the boxsets what ones are they?

Im gonna order season 1 and 2 along with the extra episodes. Blue harvest looks great, does it matter if i watch that before season 1.
Found another one called stewie griffin the untold story.

Stewie griffin untold story is a movie type of episode, worth the watch for sure

I don't see why everyone thinks Blue Harvest is so great, it's average at best, along with the whole latest series :/

Yeh i didnt think blue harvest is all that, then again I'm not a big star wars fan either...

I love season 3-5 Family Guy. The latest season isn't that great, but still funny

If season 3-6 are 10/10, the new season 7 is it? is 8/10

Season numbering is messed up as they decided to name the boxsets, which span, or contain on a part of season(s). i.e. the 'Season' 4 DVD might contain Season 3 Eps 13-18 and Season 4 1-7.

There is currently 7 complete seasons, the films/special episodes are contained within these (Blue Harvest is the first episode in Season 6 & The Untold Story is the last three episodes of Season 4 for example)

No idea how many box 'Seasons' there are.

8 boxsets at the moment. Im not really bothered with the order as the stories dont follow on, or am i wrong?

I hate the earlier seasons, the animation looks crap like the Simpsons. And meg sounds weird.

The trade off is that it can be funny without resorting to either being brutally harsh (too easy) or resorting to "that was like the time when...".

In other words, they are much better.

Agree with some of the above. Thought Blue Harvest was rubbish, just a long running joke that isn't funny.

Pretty much like all the other episodes other than the ones where its Victorian Times or some other crappy time period, basically like the Simpsons whenever they pull off those "filler" episodes.

Glad i'm not the only one. Most people on here seem to love Blue Harvest. Also the new seasons are pretty crap too.

I still find new American Dad funny, but i'm sure it'll eventually dry up.

Whats not to like? Its the same kind of comedy as in the episodes, not quite sure what you were expecting.

I used to prefer the old episodes, but I enjoy the new stuff just as much, Stewie is funnier now he looks and speaks normal most of the time.
