How much could i get for my dads Rover 800 in scrap money?

So my dad had a knock on the door the other day by a scrapman wanting to buy his 1995 Rover 800. He turned him away and after a little chat, he's decided to scrap the car as it has the following wrong with it

Car is white but has rust on all arches and across the top of the windscreen. He's had it painted twice before by his local garage, but the rust keeps peeping through again after 8 months or so.

The handbrake fails to hold
The ABS lights stops on and the brakes feel crap, like the worst brakes ever.
The engine is leaking oil out of the headgasket.
The engine has started tapping, needs a new hydraulic lifters somewhere
The front lights work when they want to.
The front window wiper arms are bent and make a horrible screaching noise across the window.
The front grille is rusty, the lens has gone on the front indicator and the drivers door handle is broke.
It stinks of fuel when parked up suspected leaky fuel tank for the 2nd time!
The petrol flap fails to close
a central locking motor doesn't work
It crashes over bumps due to the 17" wheels and low profile tyres
It's quite thirsty on the petrol.
The boot area makes a horrible rattly noise.

Now im gonna flog the wheels and some other bits i can off it, and scrap the rest. How much do you lot reckon i'll get for it as a driveable scrap car?

If he gets £50 he'll be doing well imo.

The faults listed probably would not cost that much to put right , an enthusiast would possibly snap his hand off......

Possibly not though.

we get £50 per ton of scrapped car.

there are folk who will pay especially if the cat is still intact.

^^this.

Scrap is worthless right now, some bugger has come up with a scheme that has put an additional 30k-40k tons of scrap steel into the system in the last few months meaning the supply/demand balance is a bit messed up.

It's gonna be a couple more weeks untill the wheels will be available mate. I've got some intrest off the mgr.org. Were still using the car at the moment taking stuff to the council tip (naughty with no mot, he knows that )

They're in good nick, tyres are all good and there are 4 spare tyres to fit as well. Pricewise i'm not sure so i'll see what everyone is offering and go with the best price.

Oh yeah, pic
