Am i the only one who thinks rafa sometimes doesnt have a clue!?

Okay now im finding it hard to defend this in rafa we trust much more.

The fact that he is even considering selling Masch/Xabi is a very very bad idea we have no back up and both players did excedingly well for us last season.

Should they go i honestly cannot see us being able to bring any one in who can match them unless its xavi/iniesta but they would be impossible to get and in turn ruin our midfield for next season!!

I also have a funny feeling that one of them will go which i cannot blame alonso cause benetiez made a right mess of his furture last transfer window with the whole barry mess, If this did happen i think or fear Gerrard would be put back up their and which takes away some of his attacking power and also less support for Torres which then leaves him more isolated as we dont have any other strikers of his calibure to back him up.

Yes I agree.

Maybe if Rafa said you can have MAsch and we get Xavi/Iniesta, then possibly it may be a good move, but I still think it would be stupid to sell Masch.

And Alonso needs to be made happy and felt wanted.
 
To be honest, its not really down to Rafa.

By all accounts Mascheranos pregnant wife doesnt like England and doesnt want to come back to England. So thats not really down to Rafa..family is more important than your team, cant expect Masch to stay in england without his wife and new kid.

On Alonso..I dont know. Theres been rumours for a while now that Alonso has wanted a return to Spain. Is it really down to Rafa if Alonso wants to go? Should a manager force an unhappy player to remain at a team he doesnt want to be at, or ultimately will that just cause more problems?
 
I think that most of the time. Alonso will probably go to be honest, Rafa treat him like a tit last summer and nobody would appreciate that. Alonso has stayed professional and his conduct has been admirable. Great player.
 
Contacts are worthless. If a player wants to go he gets to go 99.99% of the time, because all the power is with the player over the club.

You think Fergie wanted to sell Ron for any cost?


And besides, last years transfer nonscence?

I shouldn't lose any sleep over it mnate, you can always switch over to sky sports 2 and watch something else.
 
Source? I've only seen gossip. Though Xabi might leave. Wouldnt have thought Masch is going anywhere.
 
Rafa has his moments of insanity, I'm sure all fans would agree with that at some point. However in this case I dont see how its Rafa's fault.

Personally I think Alonso wont go, I just can't see it happening. I think it would be Masch that would go considering the "reported" news about his wife and whatnot. His agent has also been rumoured to have had meetings with Barca.

I believe Rafa will try his best to keep them both, I 100% believe that. He did treat Alonso like a pleb last summer and so I understand if Alonso wanted out. But Rafa has stated on a few occasions that his priority is to keep the squad as it is and not disrupt what we had going at the end of the season.
 
To above i did say was more of a rant :P I just get caught up in the reports and think oh here we go again.

But why is it this summer people actually want our players just not on! go ***** some more of man uniteds they have plenty players go nick! >.<
 
You forgot to mention Torres signing for either Chelsea or Utd, Reina going to Barca, Agger to Barca, Real or Milan, Benayoun going to City, Kuyt to Hamburg and Skrtel back to Russia.

At least some of the youngsters will be given a chance when all the above leave.
