you may not see this as worthwhile
but this is a premium service that myself and Yewen have worked hard to offer OcUK customers so that we can offer the best

we dont get many chips that will do 4.2 on air at safe temperatures

I am happy paying the extra for the 4.2 to be honest ( which is why I have :D) To be fair, my friends have no issue going in to a boy racer garage and spending hundreds towards labour when something is getting fitted.

I do have one question though...

How hard is the CPU cooler that comes with it going to be to mount as it does look like a beast lol

Ah ok, I was worried that the S method was a bit too extreme (looks like it'll go overflowing off the edges!), but if it works that's cool.
 
I used the S Method too, but clearly didn't work as well for me :(

Bit worrying about how high it is, everything else (touch wood) has installed/running fine :)

I have no more Artic Silver compound though, and what a cow its going to be to remove the Mobo and reapply :(

Also I am not sure if my Fan setup is correct... Also as the Mobo has reset the BIOS settings and I didnt get a USB Stick with instructions or anything, how do I (once cooled correctly) get it back to running at 4GHz?

Everything ok, but its "switched" off the overclocking and running ~7-80c idle :(

Wow.. those readings look really scarey..

66c at a clock of 1600 and a max temp of 94c.. something definately isnt right there.. I would check to make sure heatsnk is fitted corectly, and correct amount of paste applied... almost seems likte the cpu has throttled right back as its too hot...

I peak at aorund 80c under full load at 4ghz...

I am out of paste - just tidying the room of boxes and having a snack and will remove mobo again and check the heatsink - seems sturdy enough... :/

Well ignore everything I said earlier - I can tell I'm a novice when it comes to a setup like this - I had the damn fan the wrong way round. Now 78-85 when at 100% full load for over 20 mins now
 
Mate, your mistake was not as bad as mine WHAT A SCHOOL BOY ERROR...

Core speed is only 2 something in that, but it does goto 4

Nope, in my panic to make sure I did everything bit by bit i forgot to move the cellophane warning sticker off of the heat sink... me = loser

Just need to get working graphics drivers and a solution to my SSD drives (Currently hanging outside of case!)

How is everyones bundles they have recieved. have they booted up fine from the start and still running at the speed you bought it overclocked at?

Had no problem with mine the temps are fine! 35 idle max

altho when i purchased the bundle it said i would get 4ghz and im only getting 3.8 :(
