Hey guys, been reading for a while but only just got round to actually signing up. Will be getting a new computer in 4-6 weeks and will hopefully have a budget of around £1,000.

I'll prob be reposting once I actuallly get to the point of ordering but I can't help but look around and spec up just to see whats availble :P

Heres what I've thrown together, will be running Windows 7 RC untill its released and then buying the home premium version. I've put the ATI card but not sure if a different nVida would be a better choice? I like the simplicaty of the Lian Li cases so thats why I've choosen that one.

Also should I add any addition cooling (case/cpu?) - Won't be overclocking from the off set but might get bored and start playing around :P

Monitors sorted with a 24" Dell.

Basicly 1000 is the budget but anything less is beer money for me so ;)

Spec looks good, not sure on the UD4 Gigabyte motherboard, might worth going to the UD5 or the UD4p which offers a few more extra's.
CPU cooler have a look at the Titan or Thermalright Ultra, the case should come with all the fans.

yeah get a after market oh opps almost out of funding :P i think the titan fenir its only like £30-35 last I checked.

you could get rid of the soild state and get it at a later date?

also you could get a antec 300 if you don't wanna get rid of the soild state :P

stock intel coolers are rubbish, so you defo need a good en.

is the solid state just for OS because if it is just get a smaller one so you can fit an aftermarket cooler in there, other than that its a good spec:)

Prob for OS and Apps/Games - What im doing on my current Raptor. Hmmm looks like I'm on right track with the spec tho, good to know. When I actually come to ordering it I think i'll prob end up over budget anyway so the above with added CPU cooler. Done and Done!

Will keep mindlessy speccing and looking at stuff I can't afford until I get that bonus then ;) :D

edit: Hmmm change in Motherboard as mentioned above, what does the UD4P - UD5 offer over the UD4 I have selected?

I can't find a cheaper soild state :( if its for the OS yeah keep it.

the titan fenir is a good cooler, not sure how much it is right now :|
