SFIV - more players on Xbox360 or PS3?

Going on this forum, I believe the preference for this game weighs heavily towards PS3, or atleast it did last time i looked in the thread

If you have friends who have the game, then get it on the console they have it on. I can't recommend the standard Xbox 360 controller, mainly for the button placement ( I had been using a joystick beforehand), plus the Dpad is no good. I would recommend a joystick if you get it for Xbox 360 or PS3 though.
The online play on the Xbox 360 is good, I haven't experienced PSN myself but judging by comments on the street fighter 4 thread, it doesn't appear to be as good.

There are more people from these forums playing the PS3 version, however if you want to play randomers the 360 version is superior. Difficult to call which version to have tbh, you just need to decide whether you'll want to play people from these forums (PS3) or play random people around the world (360)

On OcUK it seems more people play on the PS3, you will never have trouble finding a match online if you want to play randoms. Network is a lot more stable and robust than that of the 360's.
Not so, the online aspect of the PS3 version is well known to be troublesome at best... why do you say otherwise?

The PS3 online system isn't robust at all! I find it extremely hard to find a match with good enough ping. I have dgteamed my DGN2000 and played around with the settings to bring my ping down as much as possible, i'm pinging google.co.uk at <20ms.
I have never found a green full bar match and most are in the red. Maybe it's to do with the PS3 having wireless and most peoples preference is using the wireless even though it is bad for the latency. Capcom made it harder to find a match with the last update...
Go for the 360 version. Better graphics, runs smoother and better online.

Most peoples wireless routers are quite far away from their computers which would increase the latency. Everytime i have used wireless for gaming it has never been a good experience.
I can log on to the internet upstairs and i get a ping of 60ms+.\
BBC news has a lower latency than google.co.uk also.

The online is shambles on PS3, it's actually a joke.
I first noticed when watching videos of people playing the 360 version online that joining games was far quicker and more games showed up on the browser. You also saw many more yellow connections on 360 than PS3.
Since championship mode the PS3 online was messed up even further, it's in a very bad state atm.
You don't half talk some rubbish.

This I agree with.I haven't played for a while but before the update I could find 4 or 5 bar matches all the time.After I had serious problems.
It's not really a matter of debate, its a fact. Since they released the championship mode for the PS3 they literally broke it. It's a nightmare finding games, it takes LIFE. Once you do however, its absolutely fine, and if you have friends who all have a PS3 and you plan to play against them, I would say go for a PS3.
It's been well over a month btw, probably closer to 2 months since they recognised the problem but they haven't fixed it yet.

It use to be like this for me too, but not anymore. Or I get ppl with 0 bars joining! What time do you normally play?
