Hi,
As the title suggests, I am trying to help a friend update her iPhone to 3.0. I can (sometimes) get the download to start in iTunes, but it takes forever. It estimates about 20 hours, but after allowing it to dowload for perhaps 2 hours, it just times out. I assumed initially that this was a firewall problem, but after turning off both the software firewall and the one in the router, the problem persists. I was thinking of trying to download the firmware from somewhere else, but this does not help in solving the problem!
The computer is running XP.
There is a netgear router present, and its wireless signal is boosted by several access points running in repeater mode (its a big house!).
The ISP is msdigital (Mainstream Digital) (nope, I had not heard of them either!)
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
