My friend has got a new BFG card which he picked up in USA but has now gone for a better card.

My question is, if i buy it off him can I register it with BFG as its still within 30 days?

Quick reply would be nice.

Thanks

I just registered my old 8800gt card, got it when it came out but forgot to register it. All the info they wanted was proof i bought it. Once i sent it to them it was sorted. If he has the bill you should be fine.

So a picture of the recepit would do? Does it matter if its from the USA?

Don't know about the USA bit but drop them a email say you bought it on holiday when in th USA see what they say.

All i did was copy the bill and attached it to the email i sent them, but they could not read it so i had to convert it to pdf.

A few emails for a nice warranty is worth it so stick with it.

Im not sure I can register the card though as the receipt is in my friends name. Plus he doesnt live near me and I have to make sure I can get the receipt and details before the 30 days are up which is sometime soon.

I also have to register my in laws card which is an 8800GTS for them yet, that was bought before the cut off period so i dont have to worry about the 30 days with that. Im not sure if I can do that on my already created account or whether I have to set them one up. Anyone know?

yeas you can if -

its not already been registered

and you have original invoice to show as proof of purchase

i just registered one to day and they ask for serial numbers and other codes from the back of the card and they also ask for the invoice

And doesnt matter if it hasnt got my name on it? If so I might register both cards on mine so I have all three together.

Did you just take a picture of the invoice?

Thanks guys you have been very helpful

i had an email invoice whic i sent, but you can phoyocopy the invoice and send it by email i think it needs to be pdf

if the invoice had another name and not yours i would suggest registering in that name and if the address is different just say somthing like

you have just moved house or you got it delivered to a family members house cause you were at work and no one was at your home address i think the should be ok
