DAB radio

He'd have to retrofit nav then though, quite an expensive upgrade for someone who only wanted DAB!

I guess he could go for an Intravee and an Alpine DAB tuner instead though, but still very expensive.

He'd still need nav with the IV + TUA-T100DAB, it doesn't work in anything other than UI5 and 6 for some reason .

Meh, bit of a non event then. :p

Guess I shall wait and see what is going to happen (but I may well still have this car).

DAB radio, when millions of cars will have to have their HU's upgraded. It's not like the tellies where you can just get a box...

Oh I know, when I read Jezza in The Sun, it got me thinking about the millions of cars that would need to be upgraded with a new DAB radio, and thought it was rather daft.

I'm guessing that the market for people with non nav cars and who can afford the DAB unit (let alone find one) plus ainet switch is probably in single figures, not really worth spending time on. :)

The DAB unit has a passthrough so you don't need an Ai-Net switch, but I guess. Getting less and less impressed with the intravee as time goes on - this 'new' firmware still hasn't surfaced and the MID support is rubbish... they could do so much better if they could be bothered.

To be fair it's not really 'they' and it works extremely well on Nav which is the target market. Also I know a lot of work is being done. You can always join the forum and moan a bit though. :)

Stop being a cheapskate and get nav or a car with nav in. ;)
