Virgin Media 50MB

Just ordered this now and asked the guy over the phone whether this service actually IS unlimited as it states on their traffic management table. He said ALL Virgin Media broadband services are subject to traffic throttling, and that there was no point lying about it.

I thought 50MB was meant to be genuinely unlimited?

I got my 50mb a week or so ago and have since downloaded around 4-500gb, not once been throttled

EDIT : once its fully rolled out then throttling will be introduced, rumours suggest around the end of summer

claiming our current £22 discount is the most that they'll give us and want to up it by £16/mo for 50mb to £74/mo! Too much

I will hopefully be getting my service upgraded to 50MB next Saturday.

Is the supplied Netgear router any good?

Also, what is the wireless adapter like, I suspect a little pants?

My laptop can't pick up the network with the supplied Netgear router any more.

No idea why it's happened and still haven't been able to resolve the issue.
