Well i thought i had seen and tried about every case cleaning idea

I have used HPA (scuba tank) to clean my rad, but very carefully and not at full-pelt so to speak

Well i had to call into my brothers earlier, he was eager to show me the inside of his pc

A few weeks ago i had to check the ram and get some more, i commented on how dusty and cruddy the inside looked

Anyways, i got there, and he opened the case up, absolutely looked like a new pc inside-wise

I said what did ya do strip it and clean all parts and put back in, nope he said, here i'll show ya, off he goes outside, comes back with a damn leaf blower !!!

Thing looks monstrous ! If you've used one you'll know they have some go in them and also seem a bit hard to handle when using in tight enclosures

I laughed as i thought he was taking the pee pee

So off he goes and shows me how he did it, man i swear the next time i have to clean my rad i'm gonna use the leaf blower (and save my scuba air lol)

Funny seeing him wield a 3ft garden tool at a pc's innards :P

Well i'm still chuckling thinking about it lol

Haha :p

A warning: if you're going to clean your PC with any kind of air-blowing gadget, unplug all your fans first. If they spin by themselves they basically work like generators, and if they go fast enough it could have unwelcome effects on the mobo!

Yeah he did have sense to remove all fans, edit: just called him to ask about gpu fan, he used elastic bands to hold the fan so as not to spin (good idea actually)

Thing is too, i think that leaf blower has never been used so nice n clean, would dread to think some grit etc blowing out at mobo etc with the force it does put out he he

Feel like popping to a friends who's case has never been opened/cleaned in around 6yrs !! Wanna see the mess before and then attack it with a leaf blower :)

Won't even charge him !!! lmao

Ducky, yeah those small cans of air cost a darn fortune that some people use, can charge my large scuba for £3, but use of the leaf blower = zilch :)

Lol i just read the dirty pc thread, someone asked if he used a leafblower for that. I thought he was joking:D Thought it would be too powerfull but ill remember this for when i need to clean a pc again:D

Those compressed air cans do cost a fortune, its what ive been using lately:rolleyes:

You mean there's other uses to leaf blowers aside from harassing cats? I might give this a go.
