Worst part was waking up and watching it circle around the room, then only to disappear without a trace.
Cue me looking behind every piece of furniture at 2am trying to find where it had landed. Turned out it was hanging on my dressing gown on the door hook Opened all the windows, and it would not leave of it's own accord. Ended up smashing it was a towel and scooping it outside while it was stunned.
Pretty scary hearing it flying around in the night, so I can imagine your shock when you awoke!
Give the RSPCA a quick buzz if you still haven't managed to get rid of it. I'm sure they'll give you advice... What ever you do don't hurt the little fella!
See plenty of bats around here, when I was at primary school one had decide it would sleep outside during the day hanging from a ledge near a classroom door, cute little things.

pretty sure its gone now, when i let it out it was hammering it down so i wasnt goin to the bottom of the garden naked to set it free, it scuttled off quite quick when i put it on the path, theres no sign or anything this morning around the door or in the garden.
