Flew from Gatwick to Munich on Wednesday to see ‘The Boss’ travelled light checking in one bag and carrying a ‘man bag’ on board. I went through the metal detectors and my bag was x-rayed no problems. Then for some reason they ran this magicwond over my bag and then placed it in what looked like a giant vat of soup! This then beeped loudly....
From there I was interviewed, bag pulled from the plane, questioned by customs and home land, had my passport taken away, had to answer loads of questions in regard to mining as apparently it turned out that my bag had large amounts of a chemical used solely in mining.
I had no answer to any of their questions, “have you visited a mine recently”........ err no....
I was let on my way ........ with my bag and told they may well do some follow up checks, i made the joke “shall i stay in the country then” the tool replied “that would be helpful....” as i walked off towards my departure gate!
Anyways that's my story for the week, apart from the x rated German youth hostel ones,...
