Zetec-S - 103 bhp
Saxo VTS - 120 bhp
Saxo VTR - 100 bhp

The guy is asking about a VTR which looks like it'll perform about the same, the VTS only has another 20bhp. No one is going to be spanked.

It's down to preference really, it's a pretty close call imo.

Is this a joke?

No one is going to get spanked? Hahahaha.

The VTS may only have an extra 20bhp but it has a close ratio gearbox.

How does 0-60 in 7.4 seconds and 0-100 in 22 seconds sound?

Sounds a lot quicker than a Fiesta Zetec S and Fiesta ST 150.

The difference between the VTR and VTS may not look great looking at the bhp stats but trust me, the gearbox and extra 8 valves mean it is not even a race.

A VTS would beat a Fiesta ST never mind a Zetec S.

Just admit it, the Saxo is the better car

To look at, the Fiesta wins and as a place to be the Fiesta edges it but as a hot hatch the VTS is the one too have. Im still unsure if the VTR would be able to sway me over a Fiesta Zetec-S though.

Ignore the crappy music and the "ZOMG ZETEC WINS!!1!" at the end, it had to be modded to do it.

Okay, how does 0-60 in 10.3 and 0-100 in 32.6 sound?

Fiesta Zetec S ^^

Slow.....

Just like the VTS :p

Sorry peeing about, the VTS or 106 GTI would the one I would have if I only wanted a fun car however between the VTR and ZS I would want to look more at what it is being used for. If its a daily driver where fun plays second fiddle then the ZS, if its only a fun car then the VTR.

£1500 can get you a Phase 2 306 GTi which blows the Saxo and Fiesta out of the water for pretty much everything.

I would have the Fiesta for pottering around in, they are a good looking car and the interior is nicer than the Saxo but for B road fun, Saxo all the way.

There is a big problem with the VTR (and the VTS for that matter) and its pretty unforgivable IMO....

You need to own a Saxo :(

9.7 on the bottom one, which would be the newer one i would have thought

The VTR is down on there as 9.3 to 60 so not much at all in it really

I'm glad you find it hilarious. All three cars on a country lane hoon will be similar. Short ratio gearboxes optimised for TLGP suck anyway. You're making out the difference is light and day when it isn't. I don't care for 0 to 60 times, I care about handling, the package in general and how the car pulls through the gears. The VTS would hold on to the coat-tails of an ST much like a ZS would hang on to a VTS. Lets be honest here, all these cars are slow at the end of the day.
