New Track Day Car

Ideal for road and track use :) would be my choice if I had the disposable for it

If I had a choice between a 20k Megane R26.R and adding an extra 5-10k for an M3 CSL, it would be the CSL for me every time. Especially considering you still have 20k more in the budget after spending 30k on a pristine example.

GT3 is the way forward.

A friend of mine has one for track day use and most cars during meets find it very very hard to pass him.

I had a GT3 and I think a little R26r makes more sense as do a number of people I know who have complemented their GT3's with them. Not as quick but 90% and a lot cheaper to run and less hassle if you bin it. Great little cars I am told and 3 year warranty including track use! GT3 is epic but expensive and no more fun and at the end of the day track days are about having fun not breaking laptimes, that's racing.

Hasn't he got one yet then?

I'd vote for the R26.R. Atthe end of the day if you have an accident in it, it will be a lot cheaper to fix up than a 911.
