When is the release date set for?

I remember seeing a video of it quite some time ago and im sure it should have been released by now
 
I'm still going with '10 myself due the Blizzard's 'One major release per year', excluding this year;

'10 = SCII + WoW Expansion #3 (Emerald Dream/Nightmare?)
'11 = DIII + WoW Expansion #4 (Maelstrom+Undermine?)
'12 = Unannounced MMO Project

Edit: Post now with 50% more rumour!

'13 = Warcraft IV

right handside, release date Q4 2009. which is the realistic date right now as its the only possible release for this year by blizzard
 
If you get on it.

It won't be a long Beta as they'll shut it down after a set amount of time and it will be online only iirc.

i think everyone with sc2 beta profile is in already might be wrong
 
considering that some of the best starcraft players have been helping blizzard test and balance stuff, i bet it will be released this year (just the first installment, as it is split into 3). If the game was very far from release, it would be a bit early to get the pros in to help balance things.
 
I'm playing thru the original Starcraft atm, I'm around half way thru the protoss campaign, it's bloody great. If the can make Sc2 as good as the original, then it should be a classic. I'd rather wait 'till 2010 if that means it will be a better game...

Then going be this, people like you need to realise blizzard never mentioned this release date. This is speculative.
