I had done some tested with overclocked 4ghz at just 71C (never touching more than that) after 1 hour and 31 mins prime 95 then 20 minutes with LinX and 20 minutes gaming and it very stable.

I had set the VCore voltage to the lower at 1.18v and temperature were excellent at 71C, 68C, 67C and 66C. The PC is tested at the living room temp of 25C.

I was very surprise with these excellent Prolimatech Megahalems Performance CPU Cooler with just one fan (Titan Fenrir) push the air upward on top of the exhaust big fan.

Here is the snapshot:

I am going to try 4.4Ghz to see if it lower than 80C ! I had to find a right setting on the bios but I think I cannot do 4.4Ghz with 1600Mhz memory ram ? Need a 2000Mhz memory ram ?

4.4 should be achievable - butthe patriot might need the memory slackening off

try 10 10 10 30 to start with - get the cpu stable first

4.4 on most chips requires a big voltage leap however

something to consider if you are on air - even on megahalems

Do you mean 10, 10, 10, 30 instead of 8, 8, 8 24 on memory timing ?
