Not sure where to start with this but it stems from knowing quite a few people around my age who don't really hold down a job and have parents who pay for everything. A part of me smiles knowing they are going to suffer for being so lazy and have a **** CV when they leave University and are encouraged to try and get a job by their parents but naturally the other part of me is jealous because in some ways, they aren't so stressed about money.
I've always hated not working and although i was 21 in June, i have 3 years of retail experience to my name and i have always worked knowing it would benefit me in the future...sounds very 'mature' but in all honesty, its money and who doesn't need money?
On the other side of the spectrum, a housemate of mine aged 31 has never held down a job and generally has zero motivation to find one. He instead relies on his student loan and um...thats it! I would hate to be like that and unable to do the little things like being able to have a Starbucks because i wanted to rather than avoid it knowing i couldn't afford it.
No idea how people can comment on this...erm...chat about rich people etc.

Any money he did earn went straight into his pocket, no housekeeping to the folks or contributions for the car/petrol.
), whilst a lot of my mates had N64s and TVs i had books and lego, hell we didn't even have a computer/internet until i got a job at 16 and worked for it but it's already fairly evident that this has set me in better stead.
p), I can get whatever they can too - but through my own money rather than by whinging to my daddy!
