The Swine Flu Thread - All Swine Flu Rubbish In Here

GF's got Flu at the moment, its now not being tested, just treated (probably been like that for a while TBH!)

She's got medication for it, but she's got to stay at home for 5 days whilst she completes the course of medication.

Not sure whether its Swine Flu or not, Doctors don't really diagnose it now, just issue medication straight away if you get a certain ammount of questions "right" that they ask you.

Its here in Bodmin too, its not a killer unless you have serious underlying problems (As all those mentioned in the media have had). It can be easily treated and that's about it tbh.

Its not this rounds thats the trouble, its the possible serious version coming back in the winter that may/could be a problem.

You could then argue that let as many people possible get it this time around so less get it next time around.

The first statement is a seriously tiny possibility that is just more stupid hype.

the second statement is a lie as any more aggressive version of the bug is likely to be different enough that imunity built up from this form will do you no good.

Swine Flu is the latest media over hype they've been doing it ever since AIDS hit in the 80's.

Next week I have got to make a film because some hospital staff are refusing to work with swine flu patients and the Trust want to put a few myths to rest.

I have no idea why everyone is going swine flu stir crazy, people die of normal flu every year and nothing is said. This is no more dangerous than normal flu, just weve more or less all never contracted it before. Your only going to die if you have other conditions affecting your health.

Baton down the hatches if you live in Longton, as today the NSPCT confirmed a case of swine flu at Edensor Technology College.

I've just mentioned in another thread that today I've been asked to make a film about swine flu because some staff won't deal with swine flu patients and the Trust need to dispel some myths.
