So you guys said i wouldn't need any more power for my HD4670 with my current PSU. Today, every time i turn my pc on about 5 minutes later it switches itself off, thats the PSU right?

Solutions please.
 
Are you sure its turned off and not gone into Hibernation.
I would pull the power off the dvd/HD and just go into the bios screen and see if its still doing it.

and post your full spec.

Huh? I went back through your other threads... I saw one person telling you that the PSU would be OK, and dozens saying that you should get a new one. Why would we try and con you into buying something? We're not the shop. We're people who help out on the forums in our free time, and frankly your attitude towards people who are trying to solve your problems is a little irritating.

Solution: get a branded 400W+ PSU. The OCZ 500W should be fine.

Apolgies, but i wanted a HD4850 and couldnt because it requires a new one, but they said my one would be fine for a HD4670. This isn't the point anymore i'd like to get a new one anywho to be safe :P

Heres what i says on my PSU

AC input 220-230V-.2 A.50Hz
DC OUTPUT: +3.3V--- 17.)A(ORG). +5V --- 18.OA(RED). +12V1 --- 8.OA(YEL)
+5Vsb --- 2.OA(PURP).-12V --- 0.3A(BLUE). +12V2 --- 14.OA(YEL/BLK)
P.G. SIGNAL (GRAY). GROUND (BLACK)
(+3.3V & +5V = 115W Max). Total output continuous shall not exceed 250watt

The OCZ PSU you've selected should work nicely.

When it comes to PSUs, I've found it's best to keep a very simple policy: if you're not sure, it's not enough. One can never be too careful and a risky PSU means that if it goes then it could potentially take any of, or all of, the other components with it. You can be pretty certain that a branded 500w will serve your needs in this case :) (as said above, 400+ really)

What is actually my one? :) I purchased a really bad premade pc a few months ago with all this crap in, £630, i sure learnt from that but im stuck with this for a couple more years ;)
 
That OCZ should be fine, yeah. Just be sure that it will actually fit in your case... some premade PSUs have non-standard cases. Apparently the standard PSU size is 150mm(W) x 86mm(H) x 140mm(L)- check you have enough room for it :)

you should have told me this on the other thread and this would've saved me loads of posts... that PSU is no good for your system, it's not nearly powerful enough.... as i said get the OCZ 500 or 600, because that's what i've got...the one you've got there is bound to be cheap and might only, like my old WIN psu; be 65% efficient, or even worst, like the Q-TEC, be only 50% efficient...250 Watts?...you might only be getting 150W .

i spent ages trying to help you.... :(

250 Watts is output, it would be using 357 watts if it was 70% efficient. :)

Though I wouldn't be surprised if the total +12v output was under 200 w.
