What case would you go for, Lian Li PC-X2000 or PC-P80R?

£330+ for a case? If I was paying that money for a case I'd want awesome WC included and a Patrick Stewart autograph on the side.

But seriously, what makes either £200 better than, say this?

I got it recommended by a lot of people, plus I'm sticking to it.. (i know Im stubborn ;))... just wanted to know what would be better out of these 2.

It was the PC-X2000 that made me decide to get into making my own with the whopping price tag, I like the case but not the price lol.

That Coolermaster ATCS 840 Classic Case would be a better buy than the PC-P80R, seriously you could buy the Lian Li Armorsuit PC-P80B and have the panels sent off to have a fancy custom laser cut window and have it annodised or powder coated for the price :).

I have actually ordered the ATCS 840 Classic earlier today/yesterday before I started work. I will be getting it on Tuesday and will most likely post a build log/a personal, first time builders, review.

But if you were to only chose from those two cases I would go with the former case. The latter is absolutely horrible! The performance is great (Reading the reviews) and it is a well built case. The former has great reviews and also has the looks. But, in the end, it is based on you and your opinion. You may like the latter while I disliked the looks.

P80 is just "Thermaltrashed" bling bling version of A77 with intake fans restricted by meshes in both sides instead of just one.

X2000 could be described as "design product"... very little device bays for price and some inconveniences for normal use.

Million flies can't be wrong, eh?
If anything history and world events tell that average intelligence of this specie isn't higher than that of Nokia's original product.

So true and although im not keen on the blue lights on the P60/P80 they made it loads worse with all the ATI tat. The ATCS is a very very nice looking case.

LOL, so basically you lot are saying that there is a much better case around (PC-X2000)? I mean it has nothing to do with the price with this statement i was just wondering if there is a much better case around?

+ I have no clue where to get the case modded, i.e. painted, modded... etc. Any1 can tell me where? In London that is... :)

It's never worth spending £400 on a case.The most i ever thought about was £218 for a
Silverstone TJ10B-WNV NVIDIA Edition.Pity OcUK don't stock it

Personally neither. The first is a design experiment with average thermal/audio performance and huge price tag, the second is a monstrosity with a huge price tag.

I wouldn't be so arrogant as to try and give you a reccomendation as based on these two cases our tastes seem too different.

Why not the standard non-ATI PC-P80 though? Same case, better looks, cheaper.

I HATE the Lian-Li Armour models, the cases they are derived from look far nicer IMO. Lian-LI is about simplicity, these look hideous.

IMO you can't go wrong with Lian-Li

Decide wether you want mid or full tower, then select that which has the right number of bays and you like the look of most. You can be guaranteed you'll be happy with it.

I prefer the more simplistic models, so I'd recommend the A71 or A77

I have the x2000 and like it a lot (I've had every premium case going and I would say this is probably the best). Very easy to work on & good quiet airflow. The only thing you need to be careful of is the height. Doesn't fit under most desks.
