Change the priorities in Settings->Connectivity->Destinations
 
Thinking about getting one of these. I went down to a SIM only on Vodafone a few months ago when my 18 month N95 contract expired. Logged into the Vodafone website and they are offering me an N97 on my existing tariff - £19.76 a month for 600 minutes and unlimited text - for £100.

Strikes me as a good deal - does it sound like a good deal? Sure it isnt free but it's also a lot less per month than most of the 'free' phone deals?

Well I gave up and got a sim free/unbranded one from phones4U - handset only just had to renew my contract and pay them £100 - bearing in mind my contract is dolphin £35, with 200 mins extra, so 800 mins/unlimited texts&internet and £10 off each month loyalty, it works out ok. Now just need to find some apps to put on the thing!

You might be able to get internet thrown in if you call up and haggle hard.
 
Someone tell me what the point of the 2 other pages left and right of the homescreen are for - I cant seem to add anything to them so they appear to be a waste of time!

Yeah there is something going on with mine aswel, i cant quite put my finger on it, when im home its fine, but as soon as i go out in the car and lose WLAN connection it keeps beeping every 5 seconds because its trying to update the widgets, its annoying!!

All i want is

If im at home connect to WLAN
if im not at home use "contract internet"

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to do this?

also got rid of the weather wiget, what a load off useless info hogging up the home screen, it tells me what the weather is like granted, but if i want to know what the weather is like, ill look outside thank you very much.

Any useful widgets about?:D
 
Havent seen many new widgest yet :(

Had mine replaced today at phones4u. Keeps rebooting and hanging etc, and the replacement is doing the same but worse it wont even get a GPS lock now.

Think its going back and the contract being cancelld.
 
Played with one in the vodafone shop on the Strand the other day. Wasn't that impressed to be perfectly honest with you. It's a fast phone, I'll give it that but I don't like the menu system or functionality of it. How about anyone else who has one? What are your views on it?

FAO those with a sim free UK handset awaiting the update, it is now live. Try either the SW Update app on the phone, Ovi Suite beta, PC Suite or Nokia Software Updater.

I have the black version, product code 0585162, for which the update appeared this morning.

would be hell of a lot cheaper just to buy it on payg or unwanted upgrade locked to o2 on ebay and make it 'sim free' your self.

I have the touch hd(got it end of december through orange on upgrade, still got like 12months left on my current contract), but on&off feel tempted to sell my ipod touch 32gb 1st gen and get the iphone 3gs 16gb. over the last 2yrs or so not used anywhere near the full capacity of the ipod touch(still have 24-25gb of the ~29gb that you actually get) so the 16gb(~14gb in real terms) will do me).
