Stalker SoC storyline question (spoilers)

Bit confused by this....

So I got the documents from ghost in lab x16 and head back to barkeep.

I get to wild territories and there is some duty hanging around shooting dogs and mercs, their cool with me at this point. I fight mercs to get out of WT and as the map loads to Rostok at the checkpoint (on the crossroads) duty open fire on me, whats that about?

I'm still a neutral loner... just to test I kill them but the whole of Rostok is out to get me even the loners. What have I done to **** everyone off to much?

Could be a bug, I had this happen to me.

All I can say is save often, I went back to a previous save and played through again with no problems.

It's also possible you killed some duty by accident.

It's a great game, but yeah unfortunately you've broken the golden rule of playing it - do proper saves a lot!! I reckon i had about 40 save files by the time i completed it, though i only once actually had a bug that meant i had to go back to a previous one.

I had issues with SoC too. I only used quick saves on my first attempt, and quick saved in the arena fights, which when reloaded wouldn't allow me to exit the fight, even after killing my opponents. I had to restart from the beginning.
