Favourite Microwavable Foods?

Agreed. I once caught a mate cooking bacon in the microwave. I wasn't impressed

With a piece of kitchen towel over the top that actually works quite well, it keeps the bacon moist, but then I don't like crispy bacon myself.

If it's a combination microwave (with a grill) you can cook just about anything. Our office microwave has done burgers, sausages, cheese on toast, 'proper' jacket spuds, you name it.

Be prepared for your coworkers to hate you though :D.

I like those £1 roast meals in a box from Lidle...honestly, before you judge, try them.

the big lasagne they do is awesome when microwaved too. (just remember to remove the foil packaging!)

home made stew reheated in the microwave is also nice.

But don't try to poach salmon in it it explodes :(

Either those microwavable pizzas or fish pie I'd say. The only two good uses for a microwave. Apart from nuking old pizza of course.

I'm loving the Uncle Ben's microwaveable rice pouches.

LOADS of different flavours, and on special in Sains at the mo.

I've only tried about 5 of the flavours, with Egg Fried and Spicy Mexican being my favs. (I have 3 packets in my work drawer, hehe.)

Shudder ... I have the basmati rice ones to save cooking rice to have with a meal but the other flavours are just foul.

Although M&S do a basmati rice microwave pack in the same way which has a better flavour and is cheaper at <£1 a pack.

Other than that I tend to have a Chicken Jalfrazi, Lamb Rogan Josh or Green Thai Curry from Sainsbury's in the freezer just in case I can't be bothered to cook.

Tortilla Chips/Doritos + bacon + cheese = Nachos.

Put it in the microwave for about a minute then add chillis and sour cream.
