If you eat hot food for long enough you gradually build up a tolerance. Not so long ago a vindaloo would have had me in agony with tears streaming down my face whereas now it's a very pleasant kick.
I like mildly hot food, but nothing more than that really, I don't like having a burning mouth.
so it's a catch 22, keep eating because it tastes nice, or stop after a few forks to get the feeling back in my mouth.
. Yeah I don't understand it when people order a really hot curry, for me the morning after on the toilet is simply NOT worth it, or maybe I'm more sensitive down there than most
I'll stick with Makhani's and Massala's, you know, stuff that you can actually taste.
Although strangely I'm totally fine with hot Mexican food, it must be the different type of chilli, I can eat a Jalapeño raw, but that stuff they put in Indian food kills me.

What is it about people always joking about hot foods leaving you on the toilet?
Its just food???? You eat whatever then go to to toilet as usual :|
Is it news to you that hot food is a laxative?
).

I love spicy food, but i hate food where being spicy is the whole point if you see what i mean. A nice keralan lamb fry, bursting with flavour but also makes you sweat is perfect, a vindaloo where all you can taste is fire just doesn't do it for me.
anyone else get hiccups when they eat vindallo or really spicy food. I still really like but its like mmm so nice, hiccup.
My local does one called Moricha that they warn you about before buying. It is simply amazing. Not only is it hot it actually has great depth of flavor. something I find a lot of hot currys lack.
