Just had a power cut today and the PC won't start up at all now. This happened before but the PC always restarted fine. My PSU is a corsair TX 650, I thought those PSU were designed to cope with this type of situation, all I can think of it is that the PSU died since I checked all sockets and fuses and all are fine, just praying that the hard drive is not damaged since most of my work is on it. Any suggestions ?

Does your motherboard have onboard power led's you can check.
Also remove the PSU and link out pins 13 & 14 on the main ATX connector, connect a fan to one of the molex connectors and start the PSU, hopefully this should start the psu and the connected fan.

Hmm, maybe you had a power surge before or after the powercut that's damaged a fuse or component inside the PSU?

All outside fuses are fine, there is no lit up LEDs anywhere on the mobo so I suspect the PSU is now resting in peace which is a bit disappointing for an apparently good quality product.

Annoying... I can only guess that you had some kind of surge that killed it. :( Even the best products go wrong sometimes.

A 5A fuse would be ok for a 650w PSU.

The PSU may have died, but hopefully protected the PC from damage.

But do what RJC suggested and try the PSU on it's own.
