1150BHP Ford RS200 to tackle Pikes Peak!

Saw an RS200 go round the Goodwood rally stage at the FoS. Was a great sight, but no where near 1150bhp. This thing will be crazy.

Known as ‘The Race to the Clouds’, Pikes Peak is America’s second oldest motorsport event and covers a 12.4 mile course that finishes 4300 metres (14,100ft) above sea level in the Rocky Mountains.
Anyone know how much power the RS2000 engine will push out at 4300 metres (14,100ft) above sea level ??

If the 950bhp (1150bhp with nitrous) was tested at sea level

You might find that the N2O is fitted for that reason - rather than a power adder, its existance in this installation may be instead to resolve the lack of ambient oxygen and maintain engine performance (and reliability) rather than improve it.

will Pikes Peak challenge be shown live on tv? never watched it before and it certainly looks interesting

That would be my guess too
