An e46 M3.

As some of you know, my 330d has gone to its next owner (also a member of this forum ;)). I managed nearly 43,000 trouble free miles in over three years. It was a superb ownership experience as a day to day car and I may one day buy another (albeit in touring form).

Anyway - onto the new car. I was after an M3 and was hoping to buy it late August. I had a very specific specification, so wasn't fussed about rushing into one. However, the right one came up at the right time - so here it is. Specs are:

- Silvergrey paint (CSL colour)
- Facelift 53 plate
- Imola red leather
- SMG II gearbox
- OEM 16:9 Satnav w/TV
- OEM Bluetooth
- Harmon Kardon stereo
- 19" Alloys
- Factory fit AC Schnitzer exhaust
- 56,000 miles
- BMW Auc warranty until March 2010

Everything about it is sublime. The 330 certainly wasn't slow and handled well, but this is on a completely different level. Everything about it feels special, and the ACS exhaust complements the engine perfectly higher up the revs.

I have no regrets about the SMG gearbox and am certain I made the right choice - great for lazy driving around town and great when you're really pushing on.

I wanted to get something special with the best possible driving experience from a day to day road car. The M3 has more than exceeded my expectations :)

I've only had time to quickly wash it tonight (the following show it unwashed), but I'll get some proper pictures over the weekend. Needs a couple of bits doing such as a new fog light lens and a fresh BMW bonnet badge, but otherwise - for me, it's perfect.

You know what I think Nick... stunning car!! Looking forward to being taken for a drive tomorrow!!

Not a bad drive for a couple of recent graduates if I do say so myself!!

Thats just plain greedy :D

Looks great, and in my favourite colour combo. Do you drive the M5 and the M3?? Why if you don't mind me asking? Pretty similar cars.

Nice colour combo, never been a fan of red leather interiors, but that looks good.

The old E46 M3 looks more 'M' than the new one does IMO.
