Yeah I'm thinking about picking that up. But I can't find anything in black and white, that says they take payment on dispatch,

Edit - on there forum people are saying payments ave been taken. Guess I won't be ordering pro from there.

There is the terms of sale agreement or something isn't there. Where the retailer has to honour its prices when you buy them?

Personally I'd prefer them to take the money ASAP so I know that it's gone and £80 doesn't come out of my account in October when I'm not expecting it.

Same here honestly, also feel a little safer that having taken my cash and taking cash for all the pre-orders they were allocated they are less likely to accidentally oversell and you might get screwed when it comes to payments later on, like for instance, right now the card is fine, in 3 months the card is out of date, payment fails and your pre-order is deleted/passed onto the next guy.

THe whole 8p of interest I might otherwise of got per £45 is not going to be missed, I also have no problems and no worries that I can't get a refund should I change my mind or something screws up and they can't deliver.

Sorted now.

Already had Pro on order. Now I have 2 Home premiums as well.

One for the laptop, the other for my Dad. I will give it him for christmas.

Mad thread. But no, I do not intend to buy windows 7 on pre order. I might talk myself into it months down the line, but even then I doubt it.

windows 7 should last about 4 to 5 years, £45 is around £10 a year, come on lol

Just a random note, if you preorder in this country... are you preordering a Windows 7 E version??

Meaning there is no web browser installed on the OS?

Better get a CD or a USB drive with Firefox on it at the ready then!

x2 copies of Home Premium just over 45 each..

I went for 1st class delivery as i hope they will pack them 1st and i wont get screwed when they say out of stock ! tee hee!

I've ordered 2 copies of Home Premium, I was going to order Pro and HP, but in the end I decided that all I really want Pro for is Remote Desktop, I can use VNC for that so it's not truly necessary. Might aswell save myself some money.
