I think this has taught us all a very valuable lesson. Falling asleep in bins that are due to be collected by a bin van is not a good idea.

I, for one, will now stop doing that right away.

He should be given an posthumous knighthood as this is such a major unforeseeable consequence of climbing into a wheelie bin, many more deaths could have ensued. A true hero.

That happened near me :-(

It is the new bins that have been rolling out lately. They are massive roadside ones. On collection day the truck pulls up, and the bin is hoisted up, tipped in and crushed. No man handling, so no checking what or who is in the bin.

There has already been one close call before this accident.
